From sleek ruched dresses to fitted pantsuits, Joseph Altuzarra's debut collection was all about the stretch. This season, Altuzarra played with the rawness of the sixties with an elegant undertone. Altuzarra presented his take on the vibrant, adventurous and irreverent vision of the hippie generation through his reinvention of suede. The bandage-wrap heels gave an ultra sharpness to the overall rawness of the collection, adding an edgy touch to a very fresh style. The asymmetrical-cut dress, embellished with lace detailing, took on a new level of femininity. The patchwork was pleasurably amusing and gentle; given a twist of innocence in parrallel with the purity of the softly seductive gowns. Spirtual and powerful, Altuzarra's fabric of choice was strikingly statement-making. - S&F
